Marion Vogel will leave the æternity Crypto Foundation to pursue new paths. The team wishes her all the best and is excited to see what she will be coming up with next.

The æternity Crypto Foundation has been graced by the presence of several people from all over the world despite its few years of existence. Time runs faster in the crypto world, after all. And as the story of æternity unfolds, some chapters are bound to close.

Today, we are announcing that æternity Crypto Foundation President Marion Vogel is also starting a new chapter in her career as she leaves her post as foundation president starting March 2020 to focus on new paths.

Marion has been an integral part in the creation of the æternity project from its early days. She supported the first steps taken in Liechtenstein as well as the operations of two successful token sales in 2017. For those who have been following æternity for some time, she has been a publicly known face in the ecosystem, as well as the events surrounding it. At the foundation she laid important groundwork to set up the grant and donation program, and continuously spread the word about blockchain technology.

The æternity Crypto Foundation Board would like to thank Marion for the work she has been doing over the past years and assures a continuously stable path forward.

“The foundation would like to thank Marion for all her years of hard work, building the æternity Crypto Foundation from the ground up and leading it to become this supportive pillar of the aeternity ecosystem for tech and community builders. We are excited to see what she will be up to next,” says Peter Schnürer, Board Member at the æternity Crypto Foundation.

Marion has been in the blockchain space for six years — three and a half years of which she spent passionately building the æternity ecosystem.

“Seeing æternity grow from its beginnings into the technological ecosystem it is today has been the most fulfilling aspect of taking part in this journey,” Marion says. “With æternity all set and stable, I will now pursue new endeavors. I would like to speak out a big thank you to the team, the community, and all other parties that have supported the project from day one as well as those who joined along the way. It has been a challenging yet fantastic journey the past years and I look forward to seeing the project’s further evolution.

From this point forward, she will focus on personal non-profit initiatives and charitable causes. Further on, she eyes creating and supporting blockchain-based projects and sees great things ahead.

As parting gift, Marion is kicking off her non-profit initiatives by donating 10'000 CHF to be awarded to a social impact project — based on æternity blockchain and governed by the æternity Crypto Foundation.

I am confident that the ecosystem will keep growing and remain strategically invested in the project.” she continues.

While the team at the æternity Crypto Foundation would greatly miss having Marion on the Board, they support her decision and are positive about the impact she will have in her next ventures.

“We wish her all the best as we welcome her into the æternity alumni family. She was there from the very first meetings in Liechtenstein, up to building up the grant and donation program for the foundation — which made it possible for several developers to join the fold and reach milestone after milestone in propelling æternity technology,” Sascha Valenta, Board Member of the foundation, comments.

“She will be etched in æternity history as one of the movers upon which this ecosystem was built,” Emin Mahrt, Board Member of the foundation asserts.

Marion will remain a part of the æternity family and the æternity Crypto Foundation wishes her all the best on her future path. ❤
